At the end of October, the matchup of the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens on Sunday looked different. It looked like a game between two of the top seeds in the AFC Playoffs.

Now, it's NFL Week 11 and is a game between two teams fighting for their Wild Card lives. The 6-3 Titans are tied with Indianapolis atop the AFC South after a 5-0 start. The 6-3 Baltimore Ravens are in an even worse spot, now three games behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North.

There are currently five 6-3 teams in the Wild Card hunt, and only three of them will make the postseason.

Rivalry

No longer in the same division, the Titans and Ravens don't feel like natural rivals. But for the first six years of the Ravens' existence (1996-2001), these teams were in the old AFC Central.

The 1996 Ravens are officially listed as an expansion team. But we could take this rivalry all the way back to the Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Oilers and 1970.

Perhaps the biggest matchup of the series came in the playoffs last January. Baltimore was 14-2, the top seed in the AFC, and on a date with Super Bowl destiny. The sixth-seeded Titans didn't get that memo and handed the Ravens a crushing 28-12 defeat.

There is no question that the loss in January will be on every Ravens player's mind this Sunday.

Did you know that betting NFL props is the newest trend ?

Tennessee Titans

Following last year's trip to the AFC Championship Game, expectations for 2020 were high. And after a 5-0 start, those expectations got even bigger. But the Titans have dropped three of their last four games, including a loss to Cincinnati.

The blame for the skid is shared by all phases of the team. Stephen Gostkowski has missed an NFL-high eight field goals. The Titans defense ranks 25th in the league.

And it's been a month since Ryan Tannehill and the NFL's 23rd-ranked passing offense gained at least 300 yards.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens haven't had a month-long slide like the Titans, but because of the Steelers' incredible start, their situation may be more dire. A repeat division title is now a longshot. And following Sunday's rainy loss in New England, a Wild Card spot is no longer a certainty.

Lamar Jackson is not repeating his MVP performance, which is a problem. But the biggest issue has been injuries.

Tackle Ronnie Staley was lost for the season in NFL Week 8 . In Week 10, Baltimore saw blocking tight end Nick Boyle lost for the year. The defensive line is also nursing several injuries, which could be a big problem against running back Derrick Henry.

Titans at Ravens Pick: Titans +6.5

Look for the Titans to get back to the basics. Feed Henry, and feed him often. And take advantage of the banged-up interior defense of the Ravens.

Baltimore should be able to move the ball against Tennessee. But both teams will rely heavily on the ground attack, limiting possessions and the total score.

This feels like a 21-17 type of game, making the 6.5-point spread too big to take. Also worth noting: The Ravens are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games as the favorite.
