SBG GlobalOpening Line: Georgia Tech - 3.5 , Total 49

It was not a very good season for defending national champion LSU and it may not get any better in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Wednesday as the Tigers face a very talented Georgia Tech squad. LSU comes into the game having lost five of their last eight games while Georgia Tech has won three of their last four including an upset of Georgia. SBG Globalreports that early College Football betting has the public taking Georgia Tech at Home.

LSU has really struggled defensively of late, giving up 250 points in their final eight games this season. Despite the fact that his team didn't play well down the stretch, LSU head coach Les Miles is confident his team will play well on Wednesday. "I think it's going to be a really outstanding game, but I feel really confident that our team is going to step up and play really well and be really motivated to play this game."

LSU will have to play well to contain a Georgia Tech offense that put up 45 points against Georgia in their regular season finale. Georgia Tech finished the season as the third best rushing offense in the country at 282.3 yards per game. LSU was 17th in the country in run defense at 105.7 yards allowed per game. ACC player of the year Jonathan Dwyer ran for 1,328 yards, 12 touchdowns to lead Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech also did not play well defensively down the stretch allowing 29 points and 368.4 yards per game in their last five. LSU has some talent in the backfield with Charles Scott and Brandon LaFell that could test the Yellow Jackets defense.

LSU will be playing in their ninth straight bowl game while Georgia Tech is playing in their 12th straight bowl game. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series against LSU 12-6. LSU is 6-1 all-time in the Georgia Dome.

Here are more College Football betting stats for Wednesday's games. The Tigers are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games in December. The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Bowl games. The Tigers are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games. The Tigers are 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall. The Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog.

The Yellow Jackets are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite. The Yellow Jackets are 11-5-2 ATS in their last 18 non-conference games.

The current line was Georgia Tech -4 and the total 52.5
