2009-2010 College Football BCS Bowl Game Schedule + Spreads
We've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news: The Regular College Football season has come and gone once again. Before long we'll begin the agonizing 8 month countdown ‘til college kickoff in 2010. The good news: It ain't over yet. We've got some big Bowl Games and a BCS National Championship game to watch before it's all said and done. The "Season Finale" will take place on January 7th as the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide take on the number 2 Texas Longhorns. Alabama made a statement by giving the Gators a beating in the SEC Championship Game. The final score was 32-13. The Longhorns, however, barely escaped a loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Big 12 Championship Game. Texas managed to sneak in a 46 yard field goal in the last second of play. They were spotted the final second after the clock expired. After review, officials determined that Colt McCoy's last pass attempt landed out of bounds at the one-second mark. The result ensured their spot in the big game, and destroyed some BCS buster dreams.
The 2009 College Football Season was again controversial. The season ended with 5 undefeated teams, only two of them getting a chance to play for and win a national title. The others will have to settle for a chance to win BCS Bowl Game Trophies and start over again. They'll at least have a chance to prove that they could or shoulda been playing for number 1. The Boise State vs. TCU game in the Fiesta Bowl on January 1st will have national title significance, if only symbolic.
