Tennessee at Houston

The Tennessee Titans found some life. They've won their last 3 after starting their season 0-6. A bye week and a switch to Vince Young at QB might have been just what they needed. The Titans travel to Houston to take on the 5-4 Texans. The Texans are desperate for a win. They're playing to earn their first playoff berth in franchise history. The Titans need the win as well, but with 6 losses, are now more likely filling the "spoiler" role. The Texans beat the Titans by 3 points in week 2.
Kerry Collins couldn't get Tennessee's offense going. Since the Titans decided to start former Texas QB Vince Young, he's completed 65 percent of his passes and has only been sacked once. In just 3 games, Young has done a lot to silence the critics that thought he might not have the maturity and development necessary to play on the professional level. RB Chris Johnson's performance has lately has greatly contributed to the Titans' success. He is over 1000 yards in this, his second season in the NFL; 495 of them were added in the last 3 games.
The Texans, coming off a bye week, should be ready to play. So far they've put up some impressive numbers on offense thanks to the passing game. The biggest sign of franchise improvement came before their week off as Houston took on the undefeated Indianapolis Colts. They lost by only 3 points (final score 20-17), just missing a last second field goal that would have put the game into overtime.
The Titans/Texans game tonight will be a different matchup than the one we saw early in the season. After tonight we'll see if Tennessee has really been able to work out their early season problems, and whether or not Houston looks ready to continue a run to the playoffs.
