Online Bookies Get Slammed in the NFL week 10 2008
With the public betting the hot teams and all of them covering, the online bookies, and probably bookies everywhere, didn't stand a chance.
The hottest and most heavily wagered team, the Tennessee Titans, won by 7 points in a game where they were only favored by 3. Their opponent, The Chicago Bears, just never really looked like they were in the game. According to one of our online bookmaking sources: 81% of the people who bet on that game, had the Titans -3.

Other teams that gave the bookmakers fits were Jax, Green Bay, and Carolina. The Falcons win over New Orleans was the only game that allowed the bookmakers to regain some ground.
