Its that time. Time for the free pick post that is 7-1 of the last 8 games we've posted here. We hope to close out the NFL season and week 17 with another win against the spread. Looking to go 8-1 of last 9 for our free pick featured only at free picks USA.

This week we are looking at the game between the Steelers and the Bengals. This is a little bit of a division rivalry, but , in order for it to be a full blow division rivalry both teams would need to be good and beat each other fairly often. That hasn't been the case, as Pittsburgh has completely dominated Cincinnati to the tune of 9-1 of the last ten. That includes an ATS record of 7-2-1.

The Bengals limp into this game with a backup QB and having lost 4 of their last 5 games. Surprisingly, Pittsburgh has also lost four of their last five. But they They have lost those four games by a combined 16 points and to better teams on average.

Pittsburgh is fighting for the playoffs and needs to redeem themselves after choking last week and losing a game they should have won to the Saints.

The Bengals allow 6 more points per game that they score. Pittsburgh scores 4 more points per game than they allow. Mix in the standard home field advantage and you get a line of roughly 13 points. When the line was issued at Pitt -16.5 on Sunday it was quickly bet down to where it belonged. The spread is currently resting on Steelers -14.

Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS and SU in its last 5 games at home
Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Cincinnati
Pittsburgh is 4-1 ATS and SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Cincinnati

I cannot see any reason for this trend not to continue. Pittsburgh is playing for something. The Bengals are simply playing spoiler and there is no karma in that. LOL. But seriously, they come in with a backup QB and a coaching staff that has to be thinking about where they are going to be next year. I've always said that Marv Lewis must know where the bodies are buried because he should have been fired years ago. Take the Steelers minus the points no matter how high they get. This should be a blowout.
